In any app (Chrome, Google Docs, a PDF, Messenger), select the words.
Tap Share → Cassie. Pick Explain, Answer, Summarize or Quiz me.

PDFs, Word and PowerPoint (any phone)

In Cassie, tap 📎 and pick the file (on iPhone it's in Files; on Android you can also Share the file to Cassie).
Tap 📖 Read & highlight. The file opens page by page.

iPhone and iPad: other apps and websites

Easiest: select the words → Copy → open Cassie → tap Paste & ask.

Or make a one-time Shortcut. Cassie's answer then pops up right over the app you're in (no new tab):

Open Shortcuts → tap +. Tap the name at the top (⌄) → Rename → Ask Cassie.
Tap Search Actions, type URL Encode and tap it. Tap its blue Text → choose Shortcut Input.
At the top it says “Receive … input from Nowhere”. Tap Nowhere → Share Sheet. (No line? Swipe the actions panel down, tap ⓘ → turn on Show in Share Sheet.)
Search Text and tap it. In its box, type then tap URL Encoded Text just above the keyboard.
Search Get Contents of URL and tap it.
Search Show Result and tap it. Tap Done.

Now select words in Safari, Notes or a PDF → Share → Ask Cassie. To have it at the top of the Share menu: Share → scroll to the bottom → Edit Actions… → tap the green + next to Ask Cassie → drag it to the top → Done.

Quickest anywhere: copy the words, open Cassie, and paste.
